⚠️ Important: Surface-mounted bollards are NOT designed to stop vehicles. Because they are bolted to the surface rather than embedded in deep concrete footings, a vehicle impact — even at low parking-lot speeds — can pull the anchor bolts out of the concrete and dislodge the bollard entirely. They will not satisfy insurance requirements for vehicle barrier protection and should not be relied upon for storefront protection, daycare safety, or any application where a vehicle physically needs to be stopped. For real vehicle-stopping capability, fixed bollards with 42–48 inch concrete footings are the correct choice.

Anchor bolts are wedge-type expansion anchors or epoxy-set chemical anchors depending on concrete quality and thickness. We assess the concrete condition at every site and select the anchor system that provides maximum pull-out resistance for your specific slab.

This means they can be pulled out, snapped off, or ripped from the slab by a vehicle traveling at even low speed. They are designed for pedestrian guidance and visual deterrence only — not vehicle impact resistance. If your property needs to stop a vehicle, surface-mounted bollards are the wrong product.

If your security assessment or insurance policy requires vehicle barriers, surface-mounted bollards will not satisfy that requirement.
